Gensler, the world's leading architectural firm, has been chosen to be the master planner and architect of projected Conference and Casino Quarter of Blackpool casino.
1.4 billion UK Pounds master plan will develop Blackpool as a resort of international attraction.
The development plan will includes over one million square feet of conference centers, entertainment venue, casino and hotel.
The casino will rise on the twenty acre site.
The conference center will house a three thousand seat auditorium and fifty four thousand square foot space for exhibit purposes with a classy hotel nearby.
A promenade will be catering retail outlets, bars, gourmet restaurants and entertainment venues.
Blackpool is short listed to develop one of the first regional casino in UK.
The regional casino, if approved in Blackpool, will be the vehicle of development designed to reinforce the success of Blackpool as a world class destination.
The complete plans of Blackpool that are currently being developed will be submitted for outline planning this month.
The plan will be shown to the residents of Blackpool for additional comments.
The Casino Advisory Panel is scheduled to view the plan in September this year.
The government will make the announcement on the first quarter of 2007 regarding the casino site selections.
